Kevin Burton, CPO

Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist

Kevin has been in the Prosthetic and Orthotic field for 29 years. He first became interested in orthotics and prosthetics through his time volunteering with the Children's Hospital Handicapped Ski program. In 1988 he started as a prosthetic technician.

With his engineering background from Montana State University, he excelled and was soon running the central fabrication for multiple Denver and the surrounding area offices.

After six years as a technician, Kevin attended O&P Assistance Program at the Pittsburgh Institute of Technology in 1994 and began his work in patient care. He then went on to get his ABC prosthetic certification in 2000 and orthotic certification in 2004.

Working in the Denver area, he gained valuable experience working with many different practitioners and facilities. In 2001, he teamed up and started the Prosthetic & Orthotic Group of Northern Colorado in Fort Collins.

Since then, the company has grown to specialize in pediatric care in both orthotics and prosthetics. He also has a residency program through ABC and has trained several residents who have gone on to become certified practitioners.

In his spare time, Kevin has been a single parent of three teenage girls. His oldest, Shaina, 21, is a graduate from Azusa Pacific University and is planning to attend P.A. School next fall. Nicole, 19, is now attending Azusa Pacific University and is studying Allied Health and plans to graduate in 2019. His youngest keeps him very busy. Ryanna, 16, is involved in many sports and school activities.

Other than that, he loves to travel and work around the home.

Samuel Keomanivane

Resident - Prosthetist/Orthotist

I am Samuel Keomanivane, a Prosthetic and Orthotic resident dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to individuals seeking prosthetic and orthotic solutions. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, and raised in the quaint town of Granite City, Illinois, my passion for sports, particularly soccer, has been an integral part of my life and identity.

A pivotal moment occurred seven years ago when I was involved in a life-altering motorcycle accident resulting in the loss of my left leg through the knee, leading to knee disarticulation. This experience ignited a deep-seated desire within me to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others facing similar challenges.

Driven by this newfound purpose, I immersed myself in various non-profit organizations such as Dasa Sports (DASA), Camp No Limits (CNL), and Amputee Blade Runners (ABR), where I encountered remarkable individuals whose resilience and strength inspired me to pursue a career in the field of prosthetics and orthotics.

After gaining invaluable experience as a technician/assistant with The Surgical Clinic and ABR in Nashville, Tennessee, I recognized the importance of advancing my knowledge and skills. I embarked on a journey to pursue higher education, earning my master's degree in prosthetics and orthotics from Northwestern University.

Today, I bring a wealth of expertise and compassion to my practice, committed to empowering my patients to reclaim their independence and mobility. My holistic approach, combined with my technical proficiency, ensures tailored solutions that enhance the quality of life for individuals facing limb loss or orthopedic challenges.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I find joy in outdoor pursuits such as hiking, backpacking, camping, and snowboarding. I am an avid soccer enthusiast and embrace travel and culinary adventures. One of my aspirations is to explore all 66 national parks, embodying my belief in the transformative power of nature and exploration.

Through my unwavering dedication and genuine empathy, I will continue to positively impact the lives of my patients, embodying resilience, compassion, and the spirit of possibility.
